Rifle must already be zeroed 1500 rounds of quality ammunition. Baseball hat, eye and ear protection, comfortable range attire and folding chair It is recommended (not required) that all students have a belt mounted rifle magazine pouch and shot timer. All students will be required to bring lunch and beverages for hydration. There will be lectures during lunch at the pavilion. Standards can be made available for anyone wanting to practice them. NOTE: course is 40 hours and runs until 6pm Day 1 0800 - 0830 Introduction 0900 - 1000 Patrol Rifle Qualification #1 50yds (100% min 2 attempts) 1000 - 1200 Rifle drills/ skill development 1200 – 1300 LUNCH (pavilion) / the instructor and problem shooter lecture 1300 – 1400 Rifle drills/ skill development. Trigger Press, hold over 1400 – 1600 Rifle drills/ skill development. Reloads, malfunctions 1700 - 1800 Rifle drills/ skill development. Kneeling positions Day 2 0800 – 1000 Rifle drills/ skill development. Transition to pistol, rifle sling 1000 – 1200 shooting on the move, walk back drill 1200 – 1300 LUNCH (pavilion) / issued weapons vs. personal, qualifications 1300 – 1500 lateral movement, box drill, pivots and turns, safety circle 1500 - 1800 barricade drills, Day 3 0800 - 1000 Range work: fighting from the ground 1000 - 1200 The problem shooter / off-sided drills / student run 1200 - 1300 LUNCH (pavilion) / liability, lethal encounter and HF training 1300 – 1800 Surgical shooting (6” plate or steel target at 200yds) Day 4 0800 – 1200 Student run courses 1200 – 1300 LUNCH (make up needed courses) 1300 – 1500 Standards practice, MNQ prep, standards in segments 1500 - 1800 Patrol Rifle Qualification #2 (100% min 3 attempts)
